Starrett
The L.S. Starrett Company, also known as “The World’s Greatest Toolmakers”, has been a worldwide leader in the precision tool industry for over 135 years. Starrett started in 1880 with the invention of the combination square in Athol, MA. Although founded on and known for quality precision tools, they also introduced their first band saw blade around 1890. Since Starrett has not been in the band saw blades industry quite as long as some of their competitors, they have made it a priority to continuously improve the strength, performance and life of their saw blades. Starrett is dedicated to strict quality control, state-of-the-art equipment and an on going commitment to producing products with superior quality. Their research and development is completed at a full metallurgic laboratory with band saw blade experts and is based on the feedback from customers.
Starrett Band Saw Blade Types
Starrett produces multiple options in their carbide band saw blades to create the right blade for your cutting needs. These blades have great reviews and many love the carbide wood cutting blade (Advanz FS) that comes at a more economical price than typical carbide tipped blades. Starrett also has their Woodpecker series for regular carbon steel wood cutting blades that perform very well. If you have not used Starrett blades we fully recommend giving them a try.
